Laton Arts Central CA invites you to join us in celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Folklorico dance. Our programs offer classes for all ages, from young children taking their first steps in traditional dance to adults looking to deepen their connection with their heritage or discover a new passion. Each class is tailored to age groups and skill levels, ensuring that everyone can participate in the joy of movement and tradition.

Our classes cover the unique styles and regions of Mexican Folklorico, with custom-ordered costumes that bring authenticity and color to every performance. Guided by dedicated instructors, our students learn not only the dance steps but also the stories, music, and history that make each Folklorico region unique.

Class Descriptions

  • Folklorico Fiesta: Parent and Me Class

    Join us with your little ones for a lively Folklorico experience! This class features crafts, bilingual literacy, music, dance, and parent training.

    Ages: 5 and Under

    Tuition: $25 per month

  • Vaqueritos Chiquitos: Clase Primaria

    This Folklorico Fundamentals 101 class is perfect for kids new to Folklorico or with limited experience. They will learn foundational steps and rhythms.

    Ages: 5-8

    Tuition: $25 per month

  • Vaqueritos: Clase Juvenil

    Designed for students with a couple years of experience, this class focuses on enhancing their skills with a dash of vaquero flair.

    Ages: 9 to 12

    Tuition: $25 per month

  • Vaqueros: Intermedio

    Ideal for students with some experience in Folklorico, this class focuses on strengthening their skills.

    Ages: 13-17

    Tuition: $25 per month

  • Folklorico Vaqueros: Advanced Class & Performance Troupe

    This elite class will be apart of a prestigious traveling group, they perform and represent Los Vaqueros de Latón at various events.

  • Vaqueros: Adult Classes

    Whether you're new to Folklorico or have some experience, this class will guide you through the basics and more complex rhythms and steps. For advanced dancers, the class offers skill refinement and the opportunity to audition for our traveling performance group, Los Vaqueros de Laton. Once a Vaquero, always a Vaquero.
